Effects of Nursing Information to Open Heart Surgery Patient' s Anxiety in ICU

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to the relation of nursing information and anxiety of open heart surgery patients in ICU.
The subjects of this study were 28 patients who were done open heart surgery in p university hospital in Pusan during June, 7, 1995 to September, 30, 1995. They were classified into the experimental group (14 patients) and control group (14
patients)
It used for nursing information by the researcher's preparation and STAI by Spielberger for anxiety degree.
The collected data were analized by spss/pc (Frequency, percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, F-test and x2-test)
The result of this study was as follows;
The hypothesis that the experimental group who were providea preoperative nursig information will show lower degree of anxiety than the control group who were not provided the nursig information was accepted(t=2.19, p＜.05).
In conclusion, the auther think that it is necessary that nursed should provide patients preoperative nursing information before entering ICU for diminution of anxiety of patients and effective comprehensive nursing care.
